Hi and welcome! I'm so glad you're here!

This is my very first blog post for Charjay Art Productions, and honestly, just as I'm writing that sentence, feels surreal. What started as a dream in my heart, to be both an artist and an entrepreneur, officially began to shape in February 2025. I had decided to stop waiting for the "perfect time" and start creating anyway.

This space, this brand, this journey is deeply personal. It's not just about making art, it's about living it. For as long as I can remember art has been apart of me. As a kid and teen, I was always drawing, painting, and expressing myself through my art using different mediums and materials. Creativity has always felt like home to me.

But somewhere along the way, I started hearing a different message:

"Being an artist isn't sustainable."

"It's not a real job."

"You should pick something safer."

For a while, I believed it. I started looking into careers like tattooing, animation, and even a police sketch artist, anything that felt "creative" but still acceptable. I ended up tucking my passion away and tried to fit it into a box that made more sense to everyone else. Eventually, I left the dream behind completely and went into early childhood education for a while. But the truth is, purpose has a way of finding you, and art has always been mine. I'm learning not to shrink from that anymore.

Stepping Out In Faith

This journey isn't just about proving something to the world, it's about trusting God with the vision He placed in me. I don't have every answer or plan mapped out, but I know Who I'm following. I'm leaning on Jesus for every step, the bold ones and the uncertain ones. My prayer is simple: "Let Your will be done." If this dream is from Him (and I believe it is), then I trust He'll guide the way.

This blog will be a mix of personal reflections, creative process moments, behind-the-scenes from the studio, and updates from the journey. My hope is that something here will spark something in you, too.
